This explains what information 306 Cafe & Pastries receives when you use this website, order on WhatsApp or call us, and what we do with it. It follows South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who we are

306 Cafe & Pastries, 19 Parklands Main Road, Parklands, Cape Town, 7441. Phone and WhatsApp: 069 383 7834. Our information officer is the owner of the cafe, and you can reach them on the same number.

What we receive

Website visits. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and taps on buttons such as “Order on WhatsApp”. It does not use cookies and does not tell us who you are.
Your order basket. Items you add and any note you type are saved only in your own browser, so they are still there if you come back. We receive nothing until you choose to send the order on WhatsApp. You can empty the basket at any time with “Clear basket”.
WhatsApp messages and calls. When you message or call us, we receive your name, number and what you send us. WhatsApp is run by Meta under its own privacy policy.
Google services. The map and the fonts on this site are loaded from Google, which may receive basic technical details from your browser, such as your IP address, under Google’s privacy policy.

Why we use it

Only to prepare your order, reply to your questions, and understand which parts of the website help customers so we can improve it. We do not sell your information, and we will not add you to marketing messages unless you ask us to.

How long we keep it

Order messages stay in our WhatsApp chat for as long as we need them to handle your order and keep basic business records. Ask us and we will delete your messages where the law allows.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Contact us on 069 383 7834. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
